The GAIA Community is a not-for-profit company with roots in Cornwall, founders Richard Barker and Carlos Prado.
We focus on the vulnerable in society, typically the young and people with learning disabilities.
We operate for the benefit of the community as a whole. We help people grow by focusing on their strengths and abilities that others may overlook.
We focus on what people can do and help to nurture those gifts.
In addition, we believe in making an impact on our community and do this through putting love into our staff and our food to create an extraordinary outcome from extraordinary people and extraordinary food.
We create amazing community businesses run by people whose gifts have been nurtured through the business, and who are now nurturing others.
We are a leading example of how businesses can create welcoming and supportive communities.
We change people’s perceptions of their own opportunities for success.
We show that there are different ways to succeed and it works best when people are supported to find their own way.
